The Big Sing needs you

The CRCA are backing a world record attempt taking place this Friday, are looking for your help to simule cast the event.

Depending on how many stations take part, IRN will be providing a live feed of the service with many stations and groups already agreeing the take the broadcast.

Joss Stone and Lemar will lead the ‘Big Sing’, trying to smash the existing Guinness World Record of 83,637 children all singing at the same time.

Organisers Young Voices, who set the record in 2002, are working with two charities and are aiming for up to ONE MILLION children to break the record singing at exactly the same time.

The two charities are CLIC Sargent (Caring for children with cancer) charity no.1107328 and The African Children’s Choir (helping children in Africa who have suffered from war, sickness or poverty) charity no. 1090556.

Schools have registered free where they have downloaded the words and music of the selected song ‘Lean on Me’ plus the recording for rehearsal. Each school will need two independent witnesses to their performance, and if the record is broken they will receive a Guinness World Record certificate for their school.
