Ofcom explain recent awards

On 9th February, Ofcom’s RLC awarded 21 community radio licences to groups around the country. Today, in line with regular procedure they explain why they made the awards they did.

All community radio licences are awarded for a five year period and must satisfy ertain ‘characteristics of service’ which are specified in Article 3 of the Community Radio Order 2004.
