Xfm London has made a raft of changes to its weekend schedule in what is the first reshuffle to be made by new programme director Adam Uytman.

On Saturdays, Guy Garvey's show Payola is to extend beyond its Manchester home and will be broadcast in the capital. Meanwhile, former Xfm Manchester breakfast DJ Paul Tonkinson will take over the late morning slot on Saturdays in addition to his weekday shows.

On Sunday Steve Harris will fill the 4pm-8pm slot, which will also incorporate the new Xfm Film Show with Paul Anderson as well as the Live Hour, which will start at 7pm. Finally, The Rock Show will move from Fridays to Sunday nights and will be hosted by Ian Camfield in London and Manchester and by Martin Bate in Scotland.

The changes come into effect from this weekend.
Uytman says, "The new look weekend line-up is the perfect complement to the recently revamped weekday schedule leaving Xfm in great shape for 2007. Elbow is a band that our listeners love so to bring Guy, his music knowledge and breadth of industry contacts to our listeners in London is something I'm genuinely excited about.

"Tonks brings the comedy back to Saturday mornings and Steve Harris is a great new addition to Sundays and with his passion for new music was the perfect choice to introduce the Live Hour."

Meanwhile, Xfm London has appointed Mark Rivers as marketing manager. He joins from The Guardian, where he has been a marketing executive for two years.
