Virgin Radio has been awarded the top Three Star Status accreditation by the prestigious Best Companies organisation. Virgin Radio is one of only 42 companies, and the only radio station to achieve this accreditation in 2007.
Based on a survey of over 100,000 employees from 434 companies, Virgin Radio is rated as an ‘extraordinary’ company to work for. This is one of the UK’s most prestigious workplace awards, compiled by Best Companies, which also researches and compiles The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For lists.
“Virgin Radio’s 2007 accreditation is an outstanding achievement,” said Jonathan Austin, Chief Executive, Best Companies. “It confirms their commitment to the on-going journey of workplace engagement. Our role is to set a rigorous benchmark so that organisations can become even better employers.”
“This accreditation is a great endorsement of the fantastic working environment at Virgin Radio,” said Paul Jackson, CEO at Virgin Radio. “This scoring is based on what Virgin Radio employees think of working at the station, and speaks volumes for our working practices and company culture.”
