Emap has confirmed they are looking to sell their radio stations in the Republic of Ireland – national station Today FM, Dublin's FM104 and Highland Radio in County Donegal. In a trading update published today, the group said it expected difficult trading conditions to continue.
It is thought UTV Radio may be interested in buying the stations.
Commenting on today's trading update, Tom Moloney, Group Chief Executive, said:
"Despite the widely reported challenges in some of our markets we are on track to deliver 3% revenue growth for the year. Within our consumer businesses we are increasingly allocating resources to take advantage of the opportunities available to us on faster growth platforms, through our content, brands and reach. B2B continues to make good progress in the new environment, having already felt the impact of digital. We believe that the actions we are taking to reshape the Group will position us to deliver sustainable growth."
The Group intends to announce its final results on 22 May 2007.
