Steve Penk was rushed to hospital in agony early on Friday morning after developing violent stomach pains whilst preparing for his Breakfast Show on 96.2 The Revolution.

Steve, who recently took ownership of the station, spent the day in the Royal Oldham hospital and, following a series of scans, he was diagnosed as suffering from kidney stones.
“I’d like to thank everyone at the Royal Oldham for looking after me so well”, said Steve, “I’ve never known pain like that and it was such a relief to find out what was causing it”.
The Revolution’s Station Manager, John Evington, said Steve had been complaining of pains for several days and everyone at the station had become quite concerned about his wellbeing. “When Steve failed to appear on air on Friday morning we were inundated with enquiries from listeners”, said John, “and when we mentioned that he was in hospital the phones went crazy with messages of goodwill”.
Steve’s now on strong medication and hopes to return to the Breakfast Show in the next few days.
