Global's Heart station in Bristol, formerly known as GWR, has had its regulatory Yellow Card lifted after increasing the amount of new tracks played to around 70 per cent.

The station was issued with the warning from Ofcom shortly before its Heart rebrand after a content sampling report showed that fewer than half of tracks played were under two years old. This was at odds with Heart Bristol's format document, which specifies a "contemporary and chart music" service.
But the regulator today released a short statement saying the matter had been resolved: "On March 30 2009 Ofcom lifted the Yellow Card given to GWR in Bristol on Friday 13 March for failing to deliver its Character of Service by failing to play enough contemporary and chart tracks.
"Three days’ monitoring (March 23,24 and 25) has shown the station to be operating within its Format as it is delivering 70 per cent of such tracks across daytime (excluding specialist programming)."
