The two radio categories of the Music Week Awards have been won by BBC Radio 1 and Kiss 100.

The national pop music station took home National Radio Station of the Year, whilst Bauer Media's Kiss 100 won Regional Radio Station of the Year.

Both awards were sponsored by PPL, and took place at the Hilton hotel on Thursday evening, hosted by comedian Stephen K Amos. Attendees heard a live set from Duffy, and Gary Barlow presented an award.

Speaking to Newsbeat, Andy Parfitt, Controller of Radio 1 said: 'I am delighted that we have been named station of the year and the award is a credit to the hardworking team at Radio 1."

Other headlines from the Music Week Awards include Polydor winning record company of the year for the second time running, and Bella Union named best independent label.
