BBC Radio 5 live controller Adrian Van Klaveren is amongst the 107 most senior decision-makers in the Corporation to have details of their business-related expenses made public.

Some of which include four return flights from Manchester to London within the space of a month.

In October, he booked a return flight to Boston costing more than one thousand pounds on a research trip ahead of fitting out the new buildings in Salford.

The Telegraph [link=]reports[/link] the corporation said that sometimes it was more efficient for Mr Van Klaveren to fly to Manchester because of where he lives and it could also work out cheaper than other options.

Radio 3 boss Roger Wright also claimed for £323 for one night in hotel in central London so he could attend a meeting early the next morning.

The files also show Tim Davie, Director, Audio and Music is no stranger to London taxis, with one journey costing over £90, just a couple of days after he spent £134.44 on external entertainment.

Mark Damazer claimed £366.64 to thank key talent under the category of external business entertainment, and Bob Shennan claimed £191.84 for attending Terry Wogan's Hall of Fame lunch.

Bob also regularly spent around £100 on lunch, and topped Tim's taxi spend with two journeys costing £106.79 and £118.99 respectively.
