One of America’s most listened to radio presenters Howard Stern has been hired as a judge on the next series of America’s Got Talent.
The whole show will move filming to New York as he continues his weekday morning show on SiriusXM.
Howard announced the news on Thursday morning, saying he takes judging very seriously: “In order to up my credibility, I will wear a suit.”
“I’m not doing it for the money, I’m doing it because I like the show and I need to be a judge”.
He’ll replace Piers Morgan, who left to focus on his CNN television show. “Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent starting this summer,” explained NBC alternative programming head Paul Telegdy. “He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”
