Made in Manchester will add to 5Live’s Christmas schedule with a special documentary about the summer’s riots in the city.
One Week In August will look at how the trouble escalated across England with emotional testimony from victims.
Producer Ashley Byrne says: “Whilst everyone’s trying to examine the causes of the riots and whether or not the police could have acted more quickly, there’s been little attention focussed on the lasting impact on individuals who found themselves caught up in the violence. This programme really does make you think!”
The programme is presented by Rachel Burden and will air at 10pm on Christmas Eve.
