Matt Bashford – Celador Radio’s regional managing director for the South of England is leaving radio to take on responsibility for his family business.

He’ll be replaced on November 5th by Carol Edwards who has been working in the UK radio industry for twelve years, having started at Galaxy, Birmingham in 2000, then spending three years as commercial director for Heart & Galaxy, West Midlands, followed by two years as MD at Leicester Sound and most recently at Smooth Radio, West Midlands, where she is sales manager.

Matt was appointed to the position in January 2011, having previously been managing director at Juice 107.2 in Brighton and managing director for Capital FM / Galaxy in the north-east

Celador Group Chairman, Paul Smith, commented ‘Matt has carried out a wonderful job for us in the south, for which we thank him. We all will be so sad to see him leave but we couldn’t have wished for a better successor than Carol.’
