Hugh Evans, Real Radio XS Programme Controller and drive-time host has left the Manchester-based station to “follow his dreams and aspirations”.

Hugh, known on-air as Moose, has been at the station for the most part of its five year history, barring a short return to his native Canada.

He told listeners during his last show he was leaving because he misses his sons, and that he need to follow his dreams and aspirations.

“One of the disappointments I have with leaving this place is, (because I’ve managed to meet thousands of listeners), IS not meeting every single one of them – because I’ve made some amazing friends.”

Breakfast co-host Russ Collington has taken on the role of Acting Programme Controller, whilst Real XS Brand Imaging Producer James Espley has also left the company.
