Adventure Radio has appointed Heart Cambridge Field Sales Manager Kris Lingwood as Sales Centre and DAB Manager for Connect FM.
The newly created dual role will have a key focus on driving the potential of Connect FM’s newly launched Northampton DAB area as well as Herts, Beds and Bucks, which launched on DAB back in February this year.
Kris will also work closely with the Kettering and Peterborough Sales Managers and their teams to grow commercial success locally. He will report directly into Group Commercial Director, Victoria Ford.
Last year Kris achieved one of the top accolades in radio when he won ‘Manager of the Year’ at the Golden Globals. He was also the only manager at his level to act as a Regional Training Manager for Global Radio.
Kris said: “I am hugely excited to be joining the team at Connect FM and Adventure Radio. I am confident that there are some great opportunities to grow and develop the business across both FM and DAB and am looking forward to the challenge.”
Group Commercial Director, Victoria Ford added: “We are delighted to welcome to Connect FM someone of Kris’ calibre. He has had tremendous success as part of GWR, GCap and Global Radio and now Adventure Radio is set to benefit from his wealth of experience”.
Connect FM broadcasts across Peterborough and Northamptonshire on 106.8, 107.4 and 97.2 FM and across Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire on DAB digital radio, to a potential audience of 2 million listeners.
Kris starts his new job in June.
