Juice FM’s Dave Monk has been appointed Group Creative Manager for all of UTV Media GB’s thirteen local stations.

The role means he will oversee the creative teams at each of the local stations, a key part in both the management and the direction of the writing and production talent. He will report to the ILR Group Sales Director, Michael Dobson.

Dave has 24 years experience in the radio industry, working at stations across the North West including UTV’s Juice FM, Wish FM, Wire FM, Tower FM and Radio Wave, plus Smooth, Real Radio and Radio City. He was the creative manager for Radio City, IRG and The Wireless Group. He also taught at Liverpool Media Academy and developed and delivered courses of his own.

Dave Monk told RadioToday: “I’m really looking forward to bringing all my skills to this new role – I know the radio industry inside out and believe that we have some incredible talent here at UTV so my ambitions are high. I can’t wait to get started and push things further forward.”

Michael Dobson, ILR Group Sales Director, said: “I’m really proud of the creative teams that we have in place, and having someone as experienced as Dave Monk leading our creative writing and production facility can only make things even stronger.”
