Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley has announced that Paul McCartney is to perform an intimate concert for the station at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios.
The concert, which is part of Radio 2’s live music strand In Concert, will take place on Wednesday 16 October at 1pm and will be broadcast on Radio 2 later that evening at 8pm.
Jeff Smith, Head of Music BBC Radio 2 says: “Paul McCartney is a true music legend and we are extremely excited to have him as part of our In Concert line-up. The Radio 2 audience are in for a real treat and I’m sure this will be a concert to remember!”
The performance is being recorded and will be broadcast on the BBC Red Button from Thursday 7th November.
