Sun FM runs Wearside employment campaign

Sunderland’s local radio station Sun FM is running a campaign to create “A Million Pounds Worth of Work for Wearside”.

The initiative has already achieved £500k of employment opportunities since its launch earlier this month, and offers local companies the opportunity to post positions free of charge on its website.

Managing Director of Sun FM Julian Carter told RadioToday: “As the biggest radio station on Wearside we are trying to tackle some of the biggest challenges faced by the people of Sunderland, together we aim to provide more motivation and opportunities for them.”

The station has teamed up with several local partners including Milltech and Manpower for the duration.
