Bridge FM Hospital Radio is going online for the first time, and launching a new mobile phone app.

The station was broadcasting on Ninewells Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital on 87.7fm and across Tayside on DAB digital radio – however the new online service brings takes the station nationwide.

Bridge FM Treasurer Bob McNally told RadioToday: “We want to give members of the public an opportunity to listen to Bridge FM wherever they want and whenever they want. The launch of the app and online stream service will now allow people to do this and it will allow the station to move onto the next level.

“We have had fans of the station ask how they can listen live after leaving hospital and it now means they can listen whenever they want.”

The app was created by MyRadioApps, where director Scott Myers told RadioToday: “Bridge is the latest station to take our Apps for iOS & Android. We cater for stations who want to have a feature packed mobile presence without the high costs and hassle – and we can’t wait to reveal our new app versions for more stations in the next couple of weeks!”
