Digital Jazz FM has co-hosted a three day jazz and soul festival in East Sussex, attended by 20,000 people.
The station also broadcast live from the venue, from July 4th to 6th at Glynde Place, which had Jamie Cullum, Soul II Soul and Curtis Stigers amongst the performers.
Presenters Nigel Williams, John Osborne, Chris Philips, Jeff Young and Pru Fiddy all stepped up the decks for an evening of classic jazz funk, disco and soul on the Friday night too.
A number of stars performing at the Love Supreme Festival including Lalah Hathaway, Incognito, Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum, Soul II Soul, Courtney Pine, Curtis Stigers and Omar were interviewed on-air, with live sessions and stage recordings also broadcast.
Nick Pitts, Jazz FM Content Director said: “We successfully pulled off our most adventurous effort yet in our 5 ½ year history with nearly 20 hours of live broadcast from our vintage airstream studio at our very own festival.
“The content was beautifully crafted and fully appreciated by the listeners who were unable to join us, judging by our bulging inbox. And in true commercial radio style, we did this with a small, efficient and passionate team who all mucked in.”
