The Breeze owner Celador Radio has today completed the acquisition of Palm FM.
Celador took over 60% of the shares in the station in October 2013 through its purchase of Devon Radio Ltd from London Media Company and Dr Avtar Lit, and today has added the remainder of shares.
Palm has operated as an independent station in Torquay since it launched in 2006, and spent eight years prior operating restricted service licences before applying for a full time licence.
It has been operating a similar playlist and jingle package as The Breeze for a number of months but no plans have been announced to rebrand the station. Palm will continue to be managed by Jane Anderson, who will report to Celador Radio CEO, Don Thomson.
Celador also has an interest in Radio Plymouth and Radio Exe via its Devon Radio Ltd purchase.
