Three new local Christmas radio stations are to be broadcast by the UTV Radio network for the six weeks before the festive period.
The stations will operate in areas where UTV Radio owns DAB multiplexes, and will be named after their local analogue station in each area.
Signal Christmas will operate in Stoke-on-Trent, Wave Christmas will broadcast in Swansea whilst Pulse Christmas will cover Bradford and Huddersfield.
All three stations will offer non-stop festive tunes at 128k Stereo from November 17th till December 28th. Iain Fowler, Group Director for UTV Media’s local stations, said: “We are always looking for new ways to engage with our listeners and these stations are an excellent brand extension for us – we know there’s an appetite for festive tunes and what better way to ring in the Christmas season.”
