Free Radio owner Orion Media, has signed a two-year agreement with the NEC Group.
The group owns the Barclaycard Arena, which was previously named the National Indoor Arena and the Genting Arena, formerly known as the LG Arena.
The partnership with the NEC Group means that Free Radio will be marketed throughout both arenas. In return, Free Radio will promote events held at the venues to their listeners.
The Genting Arena played host to last year’s annual music concert, “Free Radio Live”. Held last November, the event featured performances from Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs, McBusted and Nicole Scherzinger.
Phil Riley, CEO of Orion Media said: “They really are great people to work with, and our exposure inside the arenas means Free Radio remains highly visible to concert goers who come from across our patch to see the great shows they put on”.
Guy Dunstan, General Manager of the Genting Arena and the Barclaycard Arena, said: “I’m delighted that we have extended the agreement between both our Arenas and Free Radio for a further two years. We’ve really valued working with Free Radio over the past four years”.
