Jonathan Coleman gets an OAM in Australia

Jono Coleman has been awarded an OAM for service to the broadcast media industry, and to the community.

The award, a Medal of the Order of Australia, has been given as part of the Australia Day 2015 Honours List by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia.

The London-born presenter is well known in the UK and in Australia, where he currently lives and works. Here he worked at Heart, Virgin, BBC and LBC. He had famous pairings on Virgin as “Russ (Williams) and Jono” and then on Heart as “Jono and Harriet” (Scott) on breakfast.

His media career spans both radio and television. In Australia he worked at ARN, 2WS and was known for his days with Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson on both Triple J and Triple M.

His community work is long list and includes Radio for the Print Handicapped, the School for the Deaf and Blind, Spark of Genius, Schizophrenia Research Institute, Presenter/ Master of Ceremonies, Variety Clubs Australia, 1982 – 2010. Carers Australia, Ambassador, Australia Day Council and many more.
