The Arrow replaced by Smooth Extra on Sky

Global has removed rock radio station The Arrow from Sky’s EPG and replaced it with Smooth Extra.

The Arrow appeared on channel 0146 last year when Real Radio Wales, the previous occupant, became Heart Wales. Now the channel is carrying the programmes of Global’s spin-off channel Smooth Extra with ‘Your Refreshing Music Mix’.

Smooth Radio continues to occupy the channel 0128, meaning both stations are now available via satellite, although Smooth Extra is mostly a simulcast of Smooth Radio London.

We’ve asked Global for a reason for the switch and will update this story should we hear back.

The Arrow is now only available on DAB in London after disappearing from a number of platforms over the years.
