Smooth Christmas returns on national DAB radio

Global’s Christmas station Smooth Christmas is returning for 2015 on the national DAB channel occupied by Smooth Extra.

The station started life in 2011 under GMG Radio, and has broadcast most years since.

It’s back this Saturday from 10am with ‘Your Christmas Music Mix’ and has already started tweeted to let listeners know it will return.

Smooth Christmas will be the only all Christmas station broadcasting nationally on DAB, expected to cease on Boxing Day and return to Smooth Extra.

Global has also rebranded Heart TV to Heart Xmas for the festive season.

We’ve not heard of any other UK radio stations flipping to all-Christmas so far, but we’ll let you know when we do!
