Music producer Pete Waterman has signed up for a weekly show on BBC local radio in the West Midlands.
The Coventry-born music producer will present a new Saturday lunchtime programme called Pete Waterman – Back to my roots from 12 till 2pm starting Saturday 3rd September on both BBC Coventry & Warwickshire & BBC WM 95.6.
The show is called “Pete Waterman – Back to my roots” and will celebrate the very best of Coventry & Warwickshire with memories, guests, music, and listeners phoning-in. He’s been hosting a similar show during the summer on BBC WM 95.6 and BBC Coventry and Warwickshire 94.8 each Saturday at 4pm.
Pete says: “I care passionately about the West Midlands – it’s where I started and it’s the part of the country with the very best people. I can’t wait to talk to listeners to and share some stories”
BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s Editor Gareth Roberts added: “Pete is Coventry and proud and I think his music, incredible stories and obvious passion for the patch make him a great listen on a Saturday.”
Current Saturday lunchtime presenter Bob Brolly will continue to be part of the weekend line up with his Irish show on a Sunday.
