Two 15-year-olds are to host a marathon 24-hour radio show to raise money for Amnesty International.

The FundFox Marathon Show will begin its non-stop broadcast this Friday from 7pm online, with hosts Ben Steele and Luke Kemp on-air till the following evening.

The show will feature music and interviews with Amnesty International staff in almost every department of the organisation – from books and education to fundraising and marketing.

It will be the pair’s fourth annual charity marathon show since forming the radio station FundFox in 2013, having so far raised £1980 for charities including BBC Children in Need and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Ben Steele, founder of FundFox, said: “Our brand and mission statement is to use creativity as a force for good, and achieves our aims through purely a positive impact – so far, after a quarter of a million seconds on air, and £1980 raised for causes already, the impact made so far has overwhelmed me, and has genuinely restored my faith in humanity.

“The world faces tragedies every minute of every day, ranging from people being denied their rights to freedom of expression and their right to love by those who are supposed to protect them, to the ever-growing list of terror attacks which has left thousands of innocent people dead. Our work aims to highlight these issues.”
