Former Key 103 presenter Chelsea Norris is joining BBC Radio Manchester to co-host a weekend show in September.
She’ll be on-air with breakfast presenter Phil Trow each Saturday morning from 9am till 12pm, with Chelsea replacing Becky Want who will stick to weekday Drive only.
Chelsea co-hosted breakfast on Key 103 for 11 years before leaving earlier this year. She’s also worked at a number of other commercial stations in the region.
Chelsea Norris said: “I jumped at the chance to join the BBC to be a part of Radio Manchester. It’s a well-respected station and I can’t wait to get on air with Phil and chat to the listeners.”
Phil said: “When we first met we talked like we’d known each other 20 years and so will have loads to chat about. Saturday morning is all about a good catch up with our listeners and, like me, Chelsea loves to hear what’s happening in Greater Manchester.”
Kate Squire, managing editor of BBC Radio Manchester, said: “I’m really pleased Chelsea is joining Radio Manchester. For more than a decade, she’s been waking listeners up with her warmth and wit.
“It’s ironic that she’ll be working with Phil Trow as they used to go head-to-head over the airwaves. I think they will make a great on air partnership.”
The programme will start on Saturday September 3 and broadcast throughout September.
