Heart and Smooth Thames Valley Managing Editor Gareth James is leaving Global to join Celador as Programme Editor for the Sam FM network and Fire Radio.
Before joining Global four years ago, Gareth has worked for GCap, Capital, Choice and BRMB.
Reporting to Rob D’Ovidio, Group Programme Director at Celador Radio, James will be responsible for the Sam FM network with broadcast centres in Southampton and Bristol. He will also head up the programming team for Bournemouth’s Fire Radio based in Southampton.
Gareth comments: “I’m really looking forward to being a part of the talented and experienced team of creative people already at Celador Radio and sharing and influencing their exciting plans for the future.”

Gareth starts at the beginning of November and will be based at Celador’s Southampton Broadcast Centre.
