Jane Garvey, Stephanie Hirst and Rachel Steel have each been awarded a Fellowship of the Radio Academy.
The three radio professionals were surprised with their trophies during the Radio Festival in London.
Jane Garvey is currently host of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and was the first voice on 5 live when it launched in 1994.
Stephanie Hirst currently hosts weekends on BBC Radio Manchester, has previously hosted breakfast on Capital Yorkshire, and has worked at Viking FM, Hallam FM, The Pulse and the commercial radio network chart show.
Rachel Steel has worked in radio for over 30 years at a number of stations and is currently part of the RAJAR Technical Management Group.
