Bauer Media has hired Jonathan Dean as its new Head of Technology for the group’s national radio brands.
It marks a return to One Golden Square for Jonathan – he previously worked there for three years as a database administrator and business systems manager until 2009 when he left to be Head of IT for Orion Media.
Jonathan spent 7 years with Orion, leaving last summer when the group was sold to Bauer. Prior to Virgin Radio he had worked for Capital and GCap at Leicester Square.
For the last six months he has been an IT Business Manager at the University of Cambridge.
Bauer says Jonathan’s new role will see him head up the broadcast engineering team at One Golden Square, covering the Absolute Radio, Magic and KISS networks alongside heat radio, Planet Rock and Kerrang!
Bruce Davidson, National Radio’s Broadcast Director at Bauer Media told RadioToday: “We continue to invest heavily in technology at One Golden Square so Jonathan’s timely arrival will bring a wealth of experience to support our growth plans across our national brands.”
