The Radio Academy Radio Festival is taking place on May 23rd this year, moving from its usual Autumn date.
The venue is staying the same – with hundreds of radio industry professionals expected to attend the full day of sessions at the British Library.
The festival, previously held in September, is moving its date after consulting with industry stakeholders, including Radiocentre and NextRadio, in an effort to bring more coordination to the radio industry calendar.
The Radio Academy Managing Director Roger Cutsforth told RadioToday: “With so many great events staged each year by the radio and audio sector, it makes sense to co-ordinate our events calendar to create a more balanced timetable offering more choice, flexibility and less impact on the wallet for our Members in the Autumn.
We’re putting together a dynamic cross-sector team to deliver Festival this year and following on from the huge successes of the previous two years we’re really excited that this year’s festival will raise the bar once again. One of the many great insights from our Members survey was how valuable and revered Radio Festival is for its content, knowledge and networking and we’ll be putting together a program that will provide all of these by the bucket load.”
Radiocentre’s Tuning In Conference also takes place in May – this year on May 11th at Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel.
