Celador Radio continues to grow with the acquisition of various assets from Reading Broadcasting Company Ltd.
The deal means JACK fm Berkshire, previously known as Reading 107, is now owned by Sam FM, Fire Radio and The Breeze’s parent company.
Celador now owns 26 radio stations following the purchase of Anglian Radio earlier this year.
Jack FM (Berkshire) falls within the Ofcom defined area of Thames Valley in which Celador Radio already operates The Breeze (Basingstoke & North Hampshire), The Breeze (Andover) and The Breeze (Newbury). The stations will come under the overall control of Simon Myciunka, Celador’s Regional Managing Director (South).
It’s not known if JACK fm Berkshire will be rebranded under its new owner, but Celador has a history of buying and rebranding all the stations it has bought. Celador previously licenced the JACK fm brand before changing to Sam FM.
