Key 103 breakfast co-presenter Gemma Atkinson will be taking part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast this morning, Gemma said: “It’s crazy, you only live once so you have to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone! Put me in a gym with a load of lads and dumbbells I’m fine, put me on a dance floor in a frock and it’s way out of my comfort zone, so I’ve got to do it.”
Gemma is the first radio presenter to be announced for the show – joining will be joining former The Saturdays singer Mollie King, EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami and This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford.
In previous years, BBC Radio 2 lunchtime presenter Jeremy Vine, BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills and Heart presenter Mark Wright have all taken part in the BBC One show.
The model, who is known for her work in Hollyoaks, Casualty and Emmerdale, joined Key 103 in February this year and is now part of Gemma, Matt and Mike in the Morning on the Bauer station.
