Danielle Perry is moving to evenings, with Peter Donaldson taking over the late show as Dave Berry joins Absolute Radio from next month.

The Bauer station has confirmed that Dave – who’s been on gardening leave since leaving Capital earlier in the year – will do the 4-7pm slot. He’ll be joined by co-host Matt Dyson, who he worked with at XFM. Matt moves from being the newsreader on Absolute’s Christian O’Connell breakfast show. Matt joined Bauer from Global in 2015 when XFM changed to Radio X.

Absolute Radio Hometime starts on 2nd October as part of other changes to the show times on the station:

– Pete Donaldson, who’s been doing the 6-9pm slot since Geoff Lloyd and Annabel Port left at Easter, moves to the late show (Monday to Thursday 10pm-1am).

– Current 4-6pm presenter Danielle Perry will take over the Evening Show (Monday to Thursday 7-10pm) as well as the Sunday Night Music Club.

– Sarah Champion, who’s been covering the late show over the summer, will begin a new weekend show 11am-2pm as well as continue to do cover across the station.

Paul Sylvester Absolute Radio’s Content Director told RadioToday: “Reuniting Matt with Dave was an easy decision because they’re good mates and the chemistry is clear. Our exciting plans for Dave’s new show are coming together and we can’t wait to get started with the UK’s brightest and most entertaining Hometime show. Danielle and Pete are a huge part of the fabric of Absolute Radio and their new evening shows complete a truly world-class schedule.”
