Former Radio 1 producer Laura Busson is returning to the BBC to take up a role as Commissioning Executive at BBC Radio 2.
She joins from Bauer where she has most recently been Senior Executive Producer of the Hits Radio breakfast show and oversees talent development on the brand.
Before moving to Bauer, Laura was at Communicorp UK as Programme Controller for Heart Yorkshire.
During her 13 years at Radio 1, she was perhaps most famous for ‘Laura’s Diary’ feature on Scott Mills’ show, which was turned into a published book.
She will join Radio 2 from next month.
A spokesperson for Bauer told RadioToday: “We’re really pleased for Laura and she leaves with our best wishes.”
