Rado Xtra has launched on the small-scale DAB digital radio mux in Cambridge today using DAB+.

The service launched online in July 2021 with music from the 80s to today.

Programme controller Wayne Sharpe tells RadioToday: “The team love what we do and are proud of the station sound.

Over the past couple of months the team has been working on getting the station a DAB license from Ofcom for the station to take the next step and this was approved recently.

“Now Radio Xtra is pleased to announce that it is coming to Cambridge on DAB with an official launch date of Monday 14th February!

“We’re looking forward to spreading the love of the station on Valentine’s Day and beyond!”
