Radio and TV presenter Helen Skelton has been named as the final contestant for Strictly Come Dancing 2022.
The news was revealed this morning (13 August) by Claudia Winkleman on her BBC Radio 2 show.
In addition to her many roles in TV, including presenting Newsround and Blue Peter, Helen has also worked in radio, having stood in for Dermot O’Leary and OJ Borg on Radio 2 and has hosted various shows across BBC Radio 5 Live.
She was recently announced as the host of the new-look BBC Radio 5 Live Sunday morning show, replacing Laura Whitmore. The new show starts tomorrow.
Speaking about being a contestant on Strictly, Helen says: “I’m really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can’t wait for me to get started.”
