North-west radio presenter and programmer Rick Houghton has been made Programme Controller at In Demand Radio.
Rick has been a consultant for the Liverpool station for the last few years but this appointment means he’s now working on it full time.
He has worked on a number of radio stations in the North of England. He has presented at the likes of Radio City, Rock FM, Metro Radio, Real Radio. Signal Radio and Key 103. He has also programmed several stations including Channel 4 in Dubai and Radio Yorkshire.
On his appointment he said: ‘I’ve been advising behind the scenes at In Demand for the last few years. Now I get to step up and help take the station forward into what will be our most exciting year yet.
“We have some big plans and innovations to come. I love the fact that local DAB stations can make a real difference now. Super serving local businesses large and small and providing listeners with the local content they want.”
