Radio stations owned by Bauer will be removed from Freeview in the coming months, RadioToday can reveal.

Messages are starting to appear on seven radio stations currently available on the Freeview platform, informing listeners of the changes.

Greatest Hits Radio, Hits Radio, Kerrang! Radio, KISS Fresh, KISSTORY and Magic Radio will all be removed on April 2nd 2024, whilst Absolute Radio will follow on May 10th.

The move follows the removal of all Bauer stations from satellite and cable platforms in December 2023.

Digital Television accounts for under 4% of all digital listening according to the latest RAJAR figures.

Any smart TV owners will be able to continue to access all Bauer radio stations by selecting them on the Radioplayer app.
